Can someone explain me below memory organizations???

64 Meg x 4 (16 Meg x 4 x 4 banks)
does above ic have 64 megabytes in 16 banks or have 256 megabytes or it
is in megabits?


32 Meg x 8 ( 8 Meg x 8 x 4 banks)
16 Meg x 16 ( 4 Meg x 16 x 4 banks)

Often time when I hear the term "Meg" it is in Megabit. Although it has
4 bit addresses, it also has 4 banks so the controller could view this
as 2 banks of 8 bit. Of course I could be wrong as some memory
manufactures don't always have the uniform standards for reading codes.

So 16 x 4 x 4 would be 256 Megabit or 32 Megabyte.
32 Meg x 8 ( 8 Meg x 8 x 4 banks)

Also 32 Megabyte.
16 Meg x 16 ( 4 Meg x 16 x 4 banks)

And 32 as well.

Example:
(capacity of the each IC) x (Nº of ICs on the module) / 8 (bits per
byte) = Capacity of the Module in Megabytes

32Mbits x 8 ICs / 8 = 32Mbytes (256Mbits) (Single-Sided / 1-bank)

16Mbits x 16 ICs / 8 = 32Mbytes (256Mbits) (Double-Sided / 2-bank)

The number of ICs per module always is a multiple of 8 (8, 16, etc)
