N64 game repair

My friend gave me an n64 game that isn't working. I've done a continuity test on all the pins and the only pin that doesn't have continuity, doesn't have anything clearly wrong with it (it's the 3rd pin from the left looking at the back of the game).
I can see a few of the pins have little nicks or a big hole in the trace but they were fine for the continuity test.
Any other tests or things I should do?

Solder a length of thin magnet wire (enameled copper wire) between the connector pad and the first via (red). First, maybe re-soldering the through hole connection (blue) will suffice as this could be a so called cold solder joint.

Are you talking about the corrosion in the big hole in one of the traces, what can I do to get rid of the corrosion?
Do I need to get rid of it?

FYI... I'm just doing it as a hobby to learn about repairing electronics, I don't really care about playing it.
