does any one in this group know is

here it is the best typed description i can give of it

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-...,636,970.WKU.&OS=PN/3,636,970&RS=PN/3,636,970

you need a TIFF reader to look a it

this is the patent describing the device it is for induction heating drived
by an fast speed SCR

and a lc tank circuit number 14 in the patent file

in the tank circuit there is one induction coil of big value connected in
parallel to a capacitor and one induction coil of smaller value in serie on
the other side, that resonating tank is one side of it is conected in serie
between a pulse SCR switching circuit an the other goes to a ground

i have been searching on the net to seek info on this type of resonant tank
circuit but i dont have the proper nomination to
help my search

any help appreciated

Are you sure you have the correct patent number there? US Patent 3,636,970
appears to be for fluid flow regulator valve.

BTW You can download the TIFF without the browser plugin by finding the
<embed> tag in the HTML source, creating your own HTML fragment like this,
and using SaveTargetAs :

That's what I got, too, using pat2pdf.

OOPS sorry :(

The large coil 30 is an RF choke to provide DC bias.

The capacitor 32 and the smaller "work" coil 34 form a series resonant
circuit.
