Need help building a roulette game

I have a random number generator built so when you turn a switch off a number one through 8 appears. I want to make it even more random by making it so the numbers slowly come to a stop just like a roulette game even when you turn the switch off.

Here is what I have so far. Don't mind the long ways i took to get where i am now

This is sometimes called a Wheel Of Fortune circuit.

The better circuits will have an exponentially decreasing oscillator frequency, which you can borrow for your design.

One of the schematics in that link triggered an old thought. Here it is from another forum. On yet another forum there was an incorrect discussion of how the oscillator works.
