Need help with identifying and locating (for online purchase) a replacement resistor

Seems 8200 ohm. 10% What does it measure ?
Summing resistor values in series to make a nearly 8200 value is factible canibalizing defunct equipment.

For it to be 'acceptable' (i.e. not damaged) its value can be anything from 7,380 ohms to 9,020 ohms but you can only test it with one end of it disconnected.
yep, or youll be measuring other parallel loads with it at the same time.

Would anybody care to tell me what type of resistor that is exactly? I have a bunch Ii came into acquiring recently. I thought these were old school carbon comp but just making sure as theres a few types im unfamiliar with that I also have now and not sure where to find that information, if youd rather share that instead. I can read values just fine, just curious as what these others are made of. Just seen dudes picture and thought id ask. And they make 8k2 resistors still. not sure if it'd help dude out if they didnt wanna have to use multiple ones. I'm sure you guys knew that but figured i'd throw that in since im here.

suuuuper tardy.

nachos garcias, friendo's!
