Recently got this junky old electric motor for free. It was seized but i managed to get it spinning freely and all. But since it has nothing written on it i am not sure wether it is an ac or dc motor. Any telltales i should be looking at?

It appears to be a AC induction motor shaded pole type that uses shading ring to produce the phase shift.
i.e. no capacitor.
These are common on small fans etc.
They run hot due to the shading turn and the sintered bronze bearings gum up from the heat.

BTW, if you want to run in the opposite direction, you have to swap the rotor end-to-end. WRT the stator.
That is if the end bells are identical. ;)

Yes it is indeed mounted to a blower which is also how i am going to use it in the future. I just tried it after i put it back together and it runs great now!

Thank you for all the information and i will keep an eye on the temperature
