Need help to identify a MOSFET.

Hi guys,
I've looked all over internet how to identify this MOSFET with a few successful results. Besides that it's an N Channel MOSFET encapsulated TO-220F with markings: Manufacturer Logo, below 2N60 and 1716 (see photo attached below). I also would like to know some equivalent alternative parts. All comments are welcomed. Thanks everybody.

Use the parametric search facilities on the usual supplier sites. That MOFET is rated at 600V and a measly 2A and ANY N-channel device in the isolated package that has values exceeding those noted will give you planty of options.

What is the function of the mosfet being used for, the circuit it is in, what does it do ?

Generally you look for similar - Vds breakdown, Idrain max, gate charge or capacitances,
Rdson, package thermal R.....
