Please help. I have a working Roland hihat controller Fd7 and Yamaha DTX drum module version 2 .
They are not compatible with each other.
Please show me cable connections to make Fd7 work on yamaha drum module Dtx version 2.
Thank you very much

Hi, have you read the vdrums dot com issue about this?.
Some say completely incompatible while another says to pull the jack out 4mm and try it.

Go to vdrums dot com.
This issue is well known and there are solutions.

What didn’t work?
There are lots of different solutions from stereo to mono adapters, cable swapping, pulling jack out by 4mm etc.
I’m a 13 piece Premier owner and haven’t tried electronic kits yet. May be some day I’ll get one.

Yes Martin. I tried them all. I did Stereo to mono adapter, ,cable swapping, pull the plug out 4mm, and halfway out, make cable stereo to mono, tip of stereo cable is connected to ring of another end of cable.
Stereo end cable inserted into roland fd7 monocle end is inserted into Yamaha drum module.
Cable one end is TRS( tip- ring- sleeve) another end is ring - sleeve)
TRS: inserted in fd7
RS: inserted in Yahama module.
As vdrum advice.
Nothing works.
Hope you can help me.
Thanks

As I don’t have access to either units or schematics for both, it’s impossible to say.
Start your own thread in vdrums asking specifically about your units.
DO say exactly what you tried and HOW exactly you tried it. The more info you give, the better chance of receiving helpful answers.
If it’s purely TRS configurations, it should be easy.
Possibly even, either company changed something because people were making these units compatible and they didn’t like it!!.
