Hello everyone. I built a boombox out of a tool box. The radio is powered by a 12 V alarm battery that is mounted inside the box, and it also helps keep the memory on the stations. To charge the battery, I am right now using a bench top 13.8 V regulated power supply. I would like to do away with that, so I can make the radio more portable, and look nicer. What I need is how can I make , or what do I need to get , to get 120 VAC from the wall , to inside the box, and then convert that to 12V DC so I can keep the battery charged, and power the radio at the same time, and have it look nice and neat? Thank you

Wall Warts are common for 12vdc, if you need the 13.8 to charge with you would have to maybe pick up a AC version and tailor it, I have done this before, they are usually non-SMPS however, just a simple transformer, but often they can be opened up and tailored and a regulator fitted in the same case and re-sealed, just requires getting a little creative.!
