The pictures are very blurred, can you post a component art number or something to help us see the original data.

8 pins and three positions implies that it's likely double pole triple throw.

However the task of determining which pins are common and which are the switched ones is impossible to tell from the top of the switch, and probably even harder it the bottom of it no longer exists.

Reason suggests that the two poles would be represented by 2 columns of 4 pins, with the common connection probably at one end, and possibly at a different spacing to the other pins.

But any or all of this could be wrong.

Yeah, I suspect you are right about the connections used by the switch.

It is quite possible you won't find an exact replacement. Perhaps a DPDT switch with a centre off position could be used in its place. Be careful because with these the centre connections are usually the common ones.

It is a 2 pole 3 way slide switch, but, not a 8 pin switch, but 10, each pole having 5 pins.

I have given the pin layout and how its configured.

C is the common, A, B and D are the throws. The pin between C and D is broken off since its not needed, and also gives a sort of index to identify the pins. The PCB will also confirm this.

These switches are easily available here (India) and are normally 3 Pole 3 Way. (Left, Right. Power) and are used in audio combos - CD / Tape / Radio.
