ok so I need a Oscilloscope I am thinking this one would work good
http://www.hantek.com/english/produce_list.asp?unid=62

but I have some questions im assuming that these has a max voltage but I don't know what it is could I probe a 110v outlet with this?
I dont plain on using it for any frequency higher then 1MHz on something like a square wave

but I don't know what bandwidth is for sure is that how hi of a frequency it can measure

I also was looking at this one as well it seems a lot better
http://www.amazon.com/PDS5022T-Port...8&qid=1372662494&sr=8-1&keywords=Oscilloscope

im not sure what it is I need to know when piking an Oscilloscope out any advise or suggestions are welcome

The first one that you have linked is purely USB, that means you need to connect it to a computer and that will be the screen for the O-scope.

The bandwidth is just the range that the scope can read, so that one can read 0-40MHz, and the second 0-25MHz.

The voltages that it can read are dependant upon the test leads and the voltage ranges that it has, most will go to 5/10/25V per division with 5 divisions per side of the axis, so its max with a standard test lead would be 25/50/125V peak, but with a 10X test lead you can muliply those numbers by 10, a 100X by 100 etc (usually the test lead will have a max voltage it can handle)

Rigol DS1052E / DS1102E has been often mentioned as an excellent deal, on various web pages and blogs I've read.
