newbie question: DC oscillator

Freq.Generator+Regular DC power ---> X --> Pulsed DC power

Any newbie tips/info/help on how to build/buy circuit/unit "X" would
be much appreciated.

I'd like to use an freq.generator unit (100Hz to 20MHz) and couple
this with a variable DC power supply unit (0-14VDC, 0-40Amps) using a
circuit or device "X" to obtain an oscillating/pulsed variable DC
power supply.

Thanks.

500 watts at 20 MHz! this "X" is quite a device.
