Received a Nixie Tube Clock as a gift. Think it came from Ukraine.

I hate the dual voltage plug adapter that is attached. Too loose for my taste.

I just want a safe/sufficient replacement 12 V Switching Adapter.

The adapter that was included (attached photo) states:

INPUT: 100-240V - 50/60 Hz 0.5A MAX
OUTPUT: DC 12V 0.5A

I found one on amazon (link below) that says:
INPUT: 100-240V - 50/60 Hz 0.2A
OUTPUT: DC 12V 0.5A 6.0W

Will this work? Or do I need one where the input Amp Max is higher than the 0.5A adapter that I have?
Or could someone just tell me which one that comes up on Amazon will work for me please?
Thanks

Hello,

Any adapter of the correct voltage and with a current equal or higher as the origenal will work.
Take care that the plug has the positive in the middle contact.
The shown adapter from Amazon seems to be OK.

Wait.... I am re-reading this......if that's the case the amazon will NOT work? Since the amazon one states the input is 0.2A vs the original one with the 0.5A.

You saying the replacement input needs to be 0.5A or higher correct?

So the amazon one won't work then.

Hello,

The amazon adapter will work:

The 0.2 Amp is for the input from the mains.
You need to look at the output wich states 0.5 Amp.
