I'm looking for the smallest footprint TO-3 Transistor SOCKET I can find.
Originals were Cinch (no longer made). It's just the socket pins in a triangle shaped
plastic housing, with mounting screw-hole in the triangle (can't take a picture of it).
I don't have room for the transistor hold-down screw area of presently manufactured sockets.
I bought some Keystone 4513, which is basically the same thing, WITH all the extra
footprint of a TO-3 Package. Before I take out my hacksaw and file, I'd thought I'd ask
if somebody knows of an equivalent SOCKET out there somewhere. I've gotta come up
with about a dozen of these things.
The problem is the heat sink they're mounted on, it leaves me no room for a full-sized
socket.
Thanks

Update, the Keystone sockets are pretty sturdy.
I hacksawed and filed the housings to fit the small area I needed to mount them in.
If anybody needs to do this in the future, the Keystone 4513 has a flat surface (they call
it 'lead-in insulating shoulders') for the transistor mounting screws. Which is what
I needed.
It took some time, but it worked.
