Hi to everyone and thanks for reading my intro. I'm an ex TV engineer from many years back who abandoned electronics for less brain demanding work! In recent years I've had a series of strokes and having so much free time to myself leaves me wanting to get back into electronics, I used to love building litle projects.
But my mind is no longer agile enough to work things out too well, especially where maths comes into it, but I'm hoping to jog my memory with the help of others and by trying to understand things I should already know. I'm hoping you'll all go gentle with me if I ask some seemingly daft questions. Thanks.

Wecome to the forum.
We have many knowledgeable and patients members happy to answer daft questions without being condescending.

I know because I ask my share of daft questions. That's how you learn.

Welcome to EP, senior moments are all the rage and fashion at the moment. I am internet self diagnosed alzheimers, dementia and dixlesya.
I also fancied letters after my name. My wife offered ADHD and OCD. Works for me!
