Hi all!

I'm truly a layman in electronics so please forgive me if i've posted in the wrong place.

What i need is to design a dial switch with three states. Turning the dial clockwise would switch between the states 'OFF' 'LOW' and 'HIGH'. The problem that i'm facing is that the user frequently switches between HIGH and OFF very fast, causing problems.

I need to design or purchase a switch, that after switching from OFF to LOW or HIGH, needs some extra step (a push-in perhaps) to prevent the user from switching the device OFF too fast.

I'm a bit constrained in the amount of redesigning of the unit i can do, so i was hoping there might be some kind of 3d printable spring-loaded collar, or something similar that i can add to/between the current switch and the main box.

Thanks in advance for any Ideas!

You can get time delay relays that could keep the device energised for a time. Even a resistor/capacitor/fet system could do this.
