Don't say no way...my dad (an old oil field welder) always said "there ain't
no such word as can't in the oil field."

There are several ways in addition to #4 that you are trying here.

1. Get the service manual and check the value. There are lots of resources
online to do this.
2. Contact a supplier for Toshiba parts like Andrews or Tritronics and ask
their research dept or check their online search engine.
3. Measure the two halves of the burned resistor and estimate the value.
4. Get lucky and someone will have the manual handy to look it up for you.
Sorry, I don't have this one.

Leonard

Thanks Leonard, but I'm hoping someone has a 'board boneyard' that, at
a glance, might have a board similar to this one. The resistor is near
the switching xfmr. Thank you once again, will wait for another try at
this. Just want to expedite the set is all!
Cheers, Steve

These resistors used as fuses are generally easy to calculate. You know
what i is flowing, pick your R to keep Pdiss just under the rated P.

I assume youve fixed the real fault first.

Change out the Caps near the rgulator first and then get a 910 ohm
flameproof 1/2 watt resitor and you should be goof to go
