Hi, I am looking for a PC-based logic analyzer to read a signal with a
frequency of 1 MHz and store it in memory. My primary concerns are
cost and reliability. What would you guys recommend based on this?

Hi Ray,

I've used the Ant8 Logic Analyzer
(www.usb-instruments.com/hardware-ant8.html) and it offers good value for
money. The maximum number of samples might be low, but it depends on what
your doing. It all depends on how much you want to spend. It might be
worth having a look on eBay for a second hand 'non-pc based' logic analyzer.
Most of them will have the capabilities to download data to a PC (via RS232
or floppy disk). As for reliability, the Ant8 is reliable but I think most
logic analyzers are.
