PCB antenna for 2.4GHz

Hi,

I am using the Zigbee Chipcon CC2420 tranceivers and they work! Only
problem is that I would ideally like to design a PCB antenna that will
be part of the main board and will radiate away perpendicular to the
plane of the board.

The Chipcon module can drive both single ended and balanced loads and
they give the optimum load impedance as 115 +j180 ohm. The chip also
has a pin to drives the TXRXswitch and that has to go to the centre
point of the folded dipole.

Can anybody point me in the direction to find data on how to design a
cheap PCB antenna (preferable balanced) for that frequency?

Thanks

Have you looked on chipcons web site ?
I know that they have pcb layout for antennas ready for download.
