need a pcb layout for a project i have but i am not soo good in pcb design, would be very thankful if someone can do both sides, component placing and copper bottom

Ok here is my 1st attempt

made in express PCB, please help , right ? wrong? what? You need to remove the .txt for it to open in expresspcb

I looked at that this morning and then got distracted with work(!)

When the file is opened it complains that the schematic is missing (C:\Users\MrGree\Documents\4.sch)

If you can post that it would be useful. -- OK, the schematic is shown above.

It looks OK, however I would change the following:

1) Use wider tracks. There is no reason to use such narrow tracks
2) Use larger pads if possible. The ones you have are the minimum size.
3) For your +5V input, use larger pads and place them further apart
4) Be very careful placing text on the board. The "D" in TXD is very close to shorting out two tracks.
5) If the yellow box defines the extent of your board, then you have tracks outside of it.
6) Check that you're not supposed to do something with the unused pins of this IC
7) You have placed all the tracks on the top of the board instead of the bottom. This will cause you no end of headaches because you'll have to put the IC and the socket on the underside of the board (which may make them difficult to solder).
