I want to make a remote that I can press a button and send a signal to a phone to shut it off. Is this possible? I have a case and button, just not a circuit plan.

If it's feasible to connect wires to the power button on the phone then it's as "easy" as that.
If you are thinking of some kind of wireless signal then I'd have to say I don't think it can be done.

Yes I was talking about a wireless signal. Like a sattalite. Point it at the phone, it sends a kill code like someone is calling and BAM. Phones off. Or maybe a signal jammer?

They actually make cell phone signal jammers. You can't make something that cuts off an individual phone without taking that phone apart.

Your best bet at stopping cell signals is either using a jammer that sends out junk signals on the same frequency, or lining the entire room with a radio signal blocking material.

*I'm really hoping you are a teacher tired of phone calls in your class room and not a serial killer. lol*
