Hello,
I'm searching for a good books of Photodiodes, Theory, circuits,
experimentations (Engineers level) .... If it's possible to buy them
directely from the net (as a downloadable e-Book) this will be realy gerat.
Thanks.

This one concentrates on amplifier design, rather than photo diode
characteristics, but it covers that in a cursory manner.

There was a book titled "The Opto-Cookbook" a couple of years back. Not
only photodiodes, but photoresistors, LEDs and other opto-electronic
devices as well.

How about a wide-area PIN photodiode for $0.25 each?

http://sales.goldmine-elec.com/prodinfo.asp?prodid=8001
BPW33 Silicon Photodiode - Compact silicon photodiode is almost like
a tiny silicon solar cell in a plastic 2 pin case. Responds from
350mm to 1100mm. Has low reverse current (Typ. 20pA). Max sensitivity
is at 800mm. Open circuit voltage is 440mV. Short circuit current
is 72µA. Size about .16" W x .22" L x .07" Thick. Prime.

Or the common S1223 photodiode for $1.00

http://sales.goldmine-elec.com/prodinfo.asp?prodid=7971
Large Photo Diode Optical Sensor - Type S1223-01 by Vactec features
gold plated leads and a T05 size metal case with a top window. Sorry
we do not have any specs or info, but these are prime new units.
Output in sunlight is .56V. Size of the active area is about .17" sq.

Here's a tiny bit of info from my site:
