Is there any way to pinout a usb device?
I want to connect an iMac webcam to a usb cable, but the colors don't match the usb color scheme (I have brown, violet, grey and black)
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance!

The colours are unimportant ... they vary from manuf. to manuf
the purpose of the wires is what counts
does the iMac web cam come out to a standard USB ?
that is ... is it fully USB compatable

It uses a proprietary connector, but is detected as an USB device, hence 2 of the 4 cables are D+ and D-, and the other 2 are + and -
I assume the easy way would be measuring the voltage directly form the motherboard when plugged in to determine + and -, but since I only have the webcam and cable, I wanted to know if there's a way to determine which cable are which without plugging it in
Thank you for your input :)
