my pioneer vsx-d307-ht powers on then powers back off does anyone know what could be the problem

Do you hear any clicks before it switches off?.
Any display on switch on?

I should have asked the obvious first. Have you checked the wiring at the back to make sure there aren’t any stray strands shorting?.
