Hello:

I have a Samsung 42" Plasma TV (Model PSPF411701) that was turning off and making a clicking noise. My friend checked the capacitors in the Power Supply and detected that there was an issue with the capacitance for the input capacitors. We replaced those, and now the TV turns off and makes a clicking noise, but when I turn it back on, it can stay on for up to 2 hours (that is as long as I have left it on).

Just wanting to get any input on what to do here. Thanks in advance.

Maybe there are more bad caps..

But, it sounds like a heat issue and the relay is dropping out.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe more bad caps. I will check them. How could it be heat and it stays on for so long and no obvious heat?

Post some photos of the board where your friend replaced the capacitor(s) and identify which ones were replaced.
