I'm going to sell an electronic keyboard, and I would like to be able to demo it out the trunk of my car. The keyboard takes a 12v DC input, and its power consumption is under 20 watts. My car has a 12v battery and a cigarette lighter. My plan is to wire a connection from the cigarette lighter jack to the keyboard's input power jack. I think this would work, but I didn't seen anything on the internet about it, so I figured I'd better check here to make sure. Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

Make sure you use a cigarette power plug that has an integral fuse and use the correct rated fuse too.
