Anyone know how to properly clean these? Mine are losing grip on the CD
and not loading properly. A couple of weeks ago I took the unit out,
figured out why it kept on misloading discs, cleaned the intake rollers,
and now it's misloading again. I used Prepsol cleaner on them last time
and it worked like new (for a while).

The unit is a Nissan 6 stack indash thing, probably made by Clarion or
somebody.

Some of the ones we work on have a metal shaft down the middle and the
rubber roller is simply pushed over the top. Over time the metal shaft more
and more due to oils etc and the rubber wearing out. You can try cleaning
the metal shaft and the inside of the roller with a suitable cleaner (take
care not to use anything greasy or that will eat it away). If that doesn't
work you can try and glue the rubber to the metal shaft at a few points.
New rubber will also be a good idea.
