Problem old Acoustic 220 amp - RCA 480015 transistors

Hi all,

Someone dragged in a broken amp, type Acoustic 220, with blown power
transistors. The big problem is: I can't locate the devices, or even their
datasheets, anywhere. They're RCA-types, all six marked as follows:

RCA 480015 C 7742

This leads me to believe that I'm dealing with a matched transistor set
here (also because all devices in a row are simply parallelled, without
any per-transistor resistors), which rather complicates things.

Can anyone at least point me to an equivalent type? And perhaps give some
information as to the matching required?

Thanks in advance for any leads, regards,

Richard Rasker

These cross to ECG 130

2N3055 is a fine replacement.

If you don't have them...Radio Shack does!

Don't be concerned with "matching" issues on this design.

Hmm, sounds almost too easy :) Anyway, obtaining 3055's is not a problem,
so I'll give it a go. Thanks for your help!
