So I'm actually asking if a chip codenamed DP3085P exists. Just type DP308P in the search engine if the link is not enough for you and you will know what I mean. But the name DP3085P does not give a result in any search.

Sure it's '5P' and not 'SP'? The potential 'SP' designation is probably to do with the package style.

If the 'P' refers to the PENTAWATT package style and given the application it would seem your assumption on the parts numbering is correct.
