Dear All,

I want to design a pulse generating circuit to blink an LED continuously as 250ms on time and 250 ms off time(approx) .

The supply is 3 to 3.6Vdc.

I think this can be done with comparator but not sure how.

Kindly please help!

Thanks
Sid

thanks for your reply,

I went through the datasheet of CD4047BC. but not sure how to implement it.

I was to design a circuit such at when the input is 3v, the continuous pulse should generate , this can be achived by giving the input at astable and observing the output at osc pin.

now, then next concern is I have a tact switch which when once pressed the blinking of LED should stop.
how should i implement this here with CD4047BC?

Would the the 3V input be a pulse or continuous? If continuous, would the switch stop the oscillator even with the 3V present on the input? I'm thinking a CD4093 configured as a bistable and a gated astable, plus a drive transistor. (never worked with a 4047)

so the condition is as follows:

1. Input 3V start oscillation (toggle) output i.e. ON/OFF the LED continuously
2. when switched is press stop the toggling LED if the input is low.

Again, "Would the the 3V input be a pulse or continuous? If continuous, would the switch stop the oscillator even with the 3V present on the input?" ???
