I have a engine start button with three connections
1. Ground -> connected to car's negative battery terminal
2. Positive -> connected to car's positive battery terminal (fused)
3. Output -> when pushed provides a positive output

The harness I'm tapping into has multiple wires:
1. ACC - Accessory
2. IGN - Ignition
3. STR - Starter

I need to wire in relay(s) so that when the key is put into:
ACC - accessory items are functional
IGN - and the button is pressed, power to accessory is cut until the button is no longer pressed.
STR - Obviously the starter wire will need to be cut to prevent the key from starting the car. The person is forced to use the push start button.

The accessory wire will need to be cut as well and each end connected to a relay (i'm assuming).

Here's a vehicle diagram depicting the vehicles ignition harness and how the turn of the key affects each.

The car requires the key to start, but my goal is to leave the key in IGN and then use the push start to crank the engine.

I may have figured it out using 2 SPDT relays.

Relay 1
85 - connects to starter button positive output
86 - connects to ground
30 - connects to ACC wire input (from battery power)
87A - connects to ACC wire output (to accessory devices)
87 - not used

Relay 1 basically disconnects the ACC wire when the button is pushed

Relay 2:
86 - Ground
30 - Push Start Button Output
87 - STR wire
85 - Battery wire

Relay 2 provides power to the starter when the button is pressed.

I believe this solves my problem. Hopefully someone can chime in.

Edit: Looks like I may need 3 as I need to also cut the IG2 wire during starting.

Can you post your circuit diagram for more clarification.
