Show me how 12V gets you 100W will you ? Even in BTL mode. Calculations
please.

Graham

There are two specs needed to derive wattage, dipshit.

Not only that, but a 12V source can provide a much higher than 12V rail
to an amplifier circuit, or are you also so goddamned retarded that you
cannot grasp the concept of a DC to DC converter as well?

I have made HV supplies that run at 9V. That supply would actually
work all the way down to nearly 2V. Given the losses in a front end, how
do you suppose that was possible that I fed a minimum 5V op amp with only
2V in?

You are truly clueless.

Where did he say he's using one ?

I most certainly do know ALL about the output declarations of car stereo gear in
the seventies and
eighties.

Try looking NOW.

Usually stated at about 10-15% THD.

Maybe your retarded ass should become familiar with these:

CEA-2006 standards

Bwuahahahahaha! You guys (and the dyke) are pathetic.

OK, I have a computer PSU powering a 100w amp. The system works great,
but if I connect the cooling fans (2 x 12v DC brushless), I get a loud
whine in both channels.

What is the best solution to reduce or eliminate the whining? I am
limited
for space, but could easily add caps or coils to do the job. I cannot
put another psu in to run the fans, not enough space for that.

I find it hard to believe you can't find 3 cubic inches for a little
swittcher.
All useful input is appreciated....

AC powered fans perhaps.

Late at night, by candle light, Sylvia Else
Maybe you can or maybe you can't. Neither means that Phil can't do math.

Sylvia.

It really only means little Jimmy's proud of his filter making
ability.
