Good evening, I have an old Schaub Lorenz Touring T40 radio that can't hear the FM. I found the 10.7 fm discriminator coil broken. I tried to rewind it by taking the core of the am l505 coil. How can I fix it? Thank you

Coil inductance depends on many parameters not least of which are wire size, number of turns, length, height and the coil former material. The 455kHz coil will probably have a different core material so won't work if wound turn-for-turn as the 10.7MHz coil is.

You could replace the 10.7MHz coil WIRE on a turn-for-turn basis but need also to account for the turn direction and correct positioning of the 'tap'.

Since you seem to have the schematic, isn't there a component listing that identifies the part? Are there any marking on the original coil? What about the core 'colour'? Replacement coils are often found but we need more details to determine what might work as a replacement.

I managed to rewind her coils. The color of the pickup coil is red. It's not perfect it distorts a bit but better than nothing. Thank you.
