Raspberry Pi communacation with PC

What would be the best solution for communicating with a Raspberry Pi Pico W over a PC? In my case, I will need to communicate both ways and the communication will have to be very responsive with enough range.

Is communicating over HTTP or Websocket good enough. HTTP seems pretty slow to me.
Or is bluetooth viable?

Serial data communication over the USB port is a great way to talk to your pc.
