Hi The flyback seems to have gone on my RCA 60 inch TV Model P60928.
Any one know of a good place to get a replacement? Also anyone know
how to get the HV lead out of the High Voltage spliter. Thanks Ted

You may try here, I got a flyback at a reasonable price, and they shipped
quickly. But you will need the actual part number (Should be on the flyback
it's self). Also, do a search on the net for the part number. That is how
I found mine. Others may have a better place then this one, but it is a
start.

"seems" to have gone out? How are you sure?
There are lots of other more common failures in the HV and deflection
circuit other than the flyback.

The HV lead has a retainer and a little plastic clip on the hv splitter,
simply pry the clip back (without breaking it) and pull the lead out with
the plastic sleeve. If the hv grommet did not come out use a bent paper
clip to pull it out.

May want to try changing the HV slpitter also, it may have caused the
original problem.

The HV lead has a retainer and a little plastic clip on the hv splitter,
simply pry the clip back (without breaking it) and pull the lead out with
the plastic sleeve.

While the OP didn't post the chassis series, I believe he has the later PTK195,
which uses a twist and yank method of removing the wire.

Ted,
The flyback is the most common problem with that chassis and we
replace about 4 per month here in my shop. Yes all the bad flys arc at
the top. The Horizontal Output Transistor usually goes out too. the
RCA part # for the fly is 239111. The HOT is 237470.

Funny, I just got a PTK195 done for estimate today! (for 46" base
model) chassis with fried 239111 and a shorted hot. Currently waiting
for OK on estimate.

Cheers,
