Realistic 31-2020A stereo graphic equalizer help

Our Realistic 31-2020A stereo graphic equalizer needs a new power
transformer - before I start replacing it cautiosly, can someone tell me the
winding voltages of the secondaries? If common part, I may be able to
restore this otherwise-fine unit.

Thanks, in advance (& I'll tell you when I get it fixed...)

K. Hastings:
It may just be a simple matter of an "open" thermal cut-off embedded in or
very near the primary winding of the transformer. Even if you have to
half-way destroy the transformer to get to it, if you can power it up then
you would be able to measure the secondaries and then obtain a near-correct
replacement that would provide a "safe" repair.

Have you contacted Radio Shack yet for the part number and price?

Thanks Sophie, David - Haven't ben able to get at any thrmal cut-out thus
far, and RS says they will not identify the transformer, but the service
manual might. Unfortunately these days, the manual + transformer are worth
more than the unit. I'll watch for a more detailled reply before starting to
experiment.

Thanks-you anyways, Sophie, David

I have a manual for a 31-2018A but it doesn't list any voltages at all
nor the AC power rating. However, from the 35V rating of the supply
filter capacitors I'd guess its transformer is a center tapped/44Vac or
22Vac/22Vac. I also have a manual for a 31-1989 and it specs the power
AC power consumption at 10Watts. However its transformer is used single
ended instead of center tapped. BTW the thermal fuse would likely be
jammed inbetween the primary winding and the steel core. But if you
can't locate the thermal fuse, which is inline with the primary winding,
you might try a 22Vct22V at 10VA line transformer. This is only an
educated guess but if your supply is dual ended with 35 volts caps then
it is likely a good guess.

.... Power is obtained by current meeting resistance

How much is an exact replacement transformer from R/S?
