Recommendation for re-winding transformer?

Resurrecting this old thread. I have an old Scott tube amp with a bad transformer.

Any recommendations for having a transformer re-wound apart form the company mentioned there in '04?

The part number is a 12-13-1 for the one I need. I can provide the specs if anyone wishes.

Do you have a photo of your transformer?
Measurements of the physical size would also benefit.
Just it will give a better idea on complexity of any rewind.

Output transformer or mains supply?

If mains, you can usually source a replacement equivalent (unless you're trying to do a restoration and want an identical replacment) but if it's an output transformer then have a go at rewinding it yourself!

The 222-C power transformer has the following characteristics:

Primary: 117 VAC

Secondary:

360-0-360 VAC @ 150 mA

50 VAC @ 150 mA

6.3 VAC @ 5A

5.0 VAC @ 2.0A

not a standard run-of-the-mill replacement I would think

Why do you think the transformer is bad? Transformers (the electrical type ) usually are rather rugged.
