You mean kHz not KHz !

The relay should stand the current but you do not say what voltage it is switching.

Assuming the voltage is within limits for the relay, and that the load is not inductive, you shouldn't have a problem (OK, capacitive is an issue too).

no, its just a standard relay coil
no diode built in

did something make you think that it was polarity consious ?

If i drive the coil of the 12V version of this relay from 24V, then is all i have to do is put a 1200R resistor in series with the relay's coil?

A 12V zener is probably better.

Thanks, is that something to do with the L/R timeconstant and getting the relay to "switch"
