Schematic for the circuit, and what does the circuit do ?

You can still buy 4558 :

Regards, Dana.
Hi Dana,, thanks for your replay,, yes im sorry that i did not explain what the circuit is for,, :-( here it comes : its for a 1970`USA made Kustom Hustler guitar amp and its for the effect section print board PC5068.. I am in doubt as to what the letters DN mean and further more it seems that in the original diagram it says that it is a 5558 ? is 5558 another RC ? I have a JRC 4558D is it allright to use that ? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uZWRTByEbNL4LQCZ0LYVIo_NmSh7So8M/preview?pli=1&rm=demo

The 4558 is a dual op-amp (similar to the 741 single op-amp) and not a particularly difficult one to source. 'Any' 8-pin DIP packaged version will suit (don't get the SOIC or other surface-mount versions - there are lots around!).

The suffix letters usually refer to the package rather than the function so can be 'ignored' for all intent and purpose. The PREFIX letters indicate the manufacturer (Motorola, National Semiconductor etc) and can also be 'ignored'. A supplier selling a 4558 'dual op-amp' in the correct DIP package is easily sourced.
