Hello all,
New to this forum and a bit of a newbie to electronics in general, so please be gentle with me!
I have got a Sahara AV 2100 projector with the, not unusual, issue of the bulb having blown. I do not want to buy a new bulb for obvious cost reasons, and so have been having a look into replacing the light source with something else, LEDs etc?
I am not expecting the performance to be the same as with an original bulb, but do not want to throw this unit out just for a broken bulb!
I have seen a few hacks for projectors, but wanted to know more before I cause any irreversible damage to the circuitry by chopping the wrong parts.
As the bulb is gone, the projector currently goes in to 'safe mode', I need to figure out how to disable the signal to say that the bulb has blown.
Any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
I wait in hope!
Thanks
