Hi guys,
I have a 1/4hp 90vdc motor and I bought a speed controller for it and it works great.

I need to be able to reverse this motor and didn't realize it would be so difficult to source a relay that would handle inductive load at 2.5amps..

The motor is the baldor cdp 3310
The controller I got is the omega OMDC-125DV-C

I happen to have a Siemens 3TK2022-3AC2, which is a pretty beefy relay but no mention of dc amperage ratings in the data sheet

Question is.. should I just try it out? Any hints on whether it will maybe work? or definitely yes or no?

Or am I going down the wrong path with looking for a relay to help me reverse this motor direction?

THanks!

You probably shouldn't reverse the motor while it is running in one direction anyway.
Stop the motor before reversing it. That way the relay doesn't have to switch under load.
The Siemens relay you have should be adequate.
