currently i am using an revolving Xmas tree holder with plug adapters
1- i am using it upsidedown form the ceiling
2- it revolves the wrong way because its wrong side up

a regular motor wont serve my needs because i want the ability to plug in light stips and a regular motor will turn and then snap the added strips
i am not sure i want to build the entire motor and light strips form scratch

any ideas?

Have a look at ‘slip rings’.
They’ll do exactly what you want.

The tree holder can probably be adapted to run the opposite way.
Can you show photos of it and the insides?.

Slip Ring Do you have a hair curler it's on the end. Allows the power cord to swivel without interrupting the power flow.

any ideas?
Another approach would be to install the LEDs stationary ( not special requirement such as slip rings) and have the light fittings relvolve around the LEDs.
Without any detailed drawings of your setup it is almost impossible to comment in any helpful way really.
Suffice to say a certain amount of mechanical setup will be required by you but I have a feeling it is beyond your ability given your previous response.

Help us to help you!
Give all the information you have instead of us keep asking you!
Show photos.
What voltage is it etc..
As already suggested, you can use a slip ring or have a motor turn the outer ‘shade’ and have stationary lighting inside.
