The surest way towards a good, long term solution, is desolder the old broken connector and replace with one suited to the existing plastic sheet connector. It would be good to have precision calipers to measure the FFC cable thickness, then go to your preferred electronics supplier and search the relevant parameters. For example here are a few on digikey:

GE PB920TP1WW is the stove model number. You will see some hot glue in the right end of socket I tried. I have cleaned this up.

Is this PET flex cable?
I am not sure the exact technical name. The circuit is embedded into a clear plastic like cable (see below). It is pretty rigid. It has some bend, but not alot. It is made by Eastprint and looks like this, but with circuits in between 2 layers. Each touch button has a lead coming from it. There is a screen in the middle and so each side has touch buttons. Each side has this same plastic type circuitry and the two meet and tie into the 15 point cable in my photo. Since the numbers 1-0 take 10 contacts, I am assuming this a 2 sided cable. There is still bake, broil, conv bake, oven light, timer on timer off, delayed start time (not working) lower drawer warming (not working), probe cooking, slow cooking, etc. I can lie with what is not working now if I need to. I hate to open it back up while working, but i will find which of these contacts go to these buttons. I could do a much better description by phone or facetime if anyone wants to help further.

It's flex circuit with transparent PET (polyester) material. The patterns on it are silver ink printed.
