When I turned on the TV it has everything the same and you can see the images on the screen but the color is faded, kind of like a haze across the whole screen. Anyone have any ideas before I take it apart to find the problem?

It looks that way.. but I thought those 'tweaks' did not affect the settings menus.. ?
Would be worth attempting to adjust to compensate anyway

I played with the settings and nothing changed, if anything it made it slightly worse so i changed it back to the factory settings. Is there anything else you can think of?

LCD, LED or Plasma? Plasma have the high voltage boards but if is a LCD/LED then the t-con may be bad, turn off the TV then press the mute button, 1, 8, 2, power, that will take you to the service mode, look for SVR (could be different menu, look for option if you can't see SVR), look for reset TV, after that unplug the tv from the wall and press the power button manually to discharge all the caps. Turn on after a few minutes and see if fixed the problem, if not then look for parts on ebay, t-con and main if that won't repair then you have a bad panel. The t-con must be exactly the same and normally they come with the panel but some stores sale the t-con only.

I'm having the same problem. I've replaced the main board and power board. Still having the same faded screen. I don't want to take the TV further apart but I don't see a T-com board in the TV. Do the new Samsung TVs have them?
