Hi,
I need some help with fixing my Sanyo rice cooker. It's old but hasn't been used that much so it is clean and inner pot is like brand new.
When I push Cook/Start button, light just flushes it does not stay on. It doesn't heat up and cook rice at all. I couldn't find on the web for the same problem. When I opened it's bottom cover to see if there was any burnt fuse,I couldn't find anything like a fuse. Could it be damaged pc board? I couldn't see any burnt mark on the board either.

Check power circuit continuity.
You've most probably got an opened thermal fuse in-line with the heating element.
The other half of the family is of Asian descent, and whenever I visit relatives, I seem
to almost always have to repair a rice cooker or deep fryer for them, ...always a thermal
fuse.

Thank you for your replay!
So most likely I need to change #7 Sensor comp UL, I assume. ( on assembly chart )
I called Sanyo/Panasonic service dep. if I can get that parts from them.
They said they will return to me in couple of days.
Hopefully I can get that parts from them. Hate to see good appliance go waste.

Sounds like you don't have a DMM (digital multimeter) to check circuit continuity.
It's a pretty simple check, and would isolate the problem quickly.
If you don't get the problem solved, someone here will respond to any other questions
about this that you have in the future.
Good luck with the repair.
