SD card with pic microcontroller

Hi all

I am doind a project using a number of different sensors. Now the issue i have is that i need an SD card code very simple only to create a file and write data in it for monitoring the measurments of the sensors in order to see if my results on reading them is correct, also the flactuation of the measurments during a period of use. I tried for two weeks now with some codes i found but all in vain. Any propotition please.

i use PIC16f18346 and mplab xc8 compiler. The SD card is SDCS type 16GB.

I'd imagine Arduino setup would be much simpler, cheaper and easier to obtain a host of proven "already written" code to store data on an sd card..

Hi thanks for your time. At the moment I am doing that but I am not familiar at all with Arduino. I am trying to connect the mega 2560 I have with the pic with UART to transfer data from it.
