Hi everyone! i hope you all having a good day.

I'm looking for your wisdom on a specifif matter regarding a temperature sensor that's mounted in a pump shaft, reading a bearing temperature. I need to pass the sensor cable through a wall, and i'm looking for some kind of double sided male or female threaded plug, like the one on the images below.

Please if someone could lead me into finding this kind of plug, what name should i look it for, or if it even exist, that would be great and very helpful!

Thanks!

Are both the walls internal, or is one external, ie needs weather protection?

If both internal you could use standard wall plates with suitable connectors on each plate and a link cable through the wall from one to the other.

Only thing i can think of would be an epoxy filled gland plate.
Even if filled with say a re-enterable gel epoxy it would still be subject to breakdown and leakage of some description over time.

We used to use a dow corning re-enterable gel yonks ago but that was mainly for periodic flood protection, not continually immersed.
One could try one of the scotchcast cable joiner kits range I suppose.

Hi,
One side of the wall is internal, and the other is submerged in water all the time. The internal side is dry, only air, so this plug must be water resistant, and it'll be located at 8 meters (about 26 feet) deep.

That is a pretty specialised requirement, so I would suggest that you contact companies experienced in this field. 8m of water is going to have a reasonable pressure behind it, so will demand a truly watertight system.
