Hi,

I need a wireless RS232 full duplex link between 2 serials terminals on
about 50 meters. So as to avoid to pay too much in wireless rs323 module,
i'd like to know if it's possible to use a classical telephonic modem (V92
or other) and make an interface that simule the switch telephonic network.
Does anybody have an idea about that,

thanks

Why not just run a standard serial cable between the two terminals? It's
capable of working over about 150 meters.

I have to agree with Colin, just go straight copper between both serial
ports. If you still want to go with modems, check out
www.blackbox.com you can get modems that will go over single pair copper
lines.

On the second read of your post, you did say Full Duplex. The black box
solution will work, but they are expensive. You could try the telephone line
simulator from MCM Electronics www.mcmelectronics.com #72-6548. I have used
it for testing modems in the Lab environment, I would think it could go the
distance!

There are rs232<>rs422 converters too.
