Sharp Z-85III paper jam problems

Hello,

I currently have a sharp Z-85III copier that keeps giving me a paper jam
error. Everytime it's about to feed the paper through the fuse lamp rollers,
the paper gets stuck. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to
troubleshoot this problem without calling the service tech.

I've never worked on that particular model of Sharp copier so am not
familiar with it, but I do know that one Sharp model laser printer (similar
design?) I fixed had a problem with the paper exit rollers. I'd suggest you
look at the pick up and exit rollers to make sure they are still in good
condition and have not been melted/damaged by the heat from the fuser. Also
check the gears to make sure they don't have cracks causing slippage.

I expect someone else on the newsgroup may be able to give you something
