Hello,

I am a bit of a novice when it comes to electronics but I am capable of building circuits but just struggle when it comes to designing them.

I have a small project for a hobby group that I attend but I don't have a clue how to go about it!

I am prepared to pay someone for their input (mods please delete the request if it offends forum rules).

I need a circuit that I would think is fairly simple, it will have a button to press for the input and a LCD screen. Each time the button is pressed it increase the count on the screen. I can find many comercial counters that would fit the bill but I need to be able to press (and hold) the input button to reset the counter.

The circuit would be powered by a button cell.

Is there anybody that could help me please?

Thank you in advance,

Juan Pablo

Hi Juan,

I can design a circuit to generate the reset signal when the button is held down. That's pretty simple and I will do it at no charge.

You just need to find an off-the-shelf counter that suits your requirements.

It needs to have separate inputs for increment and reset.

Please post a link to the counter you want to use.
